Coaching Testimonials
“Leigh is an excellent coach. She has a phenomenal ability to ask exactly the right insightful question at exactly the right time, to get me to think about things from a different perspective. She really challenged me when I needed challenging. Leigh is very non-judgemental and created an environment where I felt safe to discuss personal topics. I highly recommend Leigh as a coach for anyone”

“Dear prospective TTN Clients,
I was diagnosed with ADHD at 46 years old. Whilst it provided me immense relief and validation it introduced an acceptance that some things will always be hard and that my differences and “quirks” will always influence how and what I do. What I didn’t know was how to accept it, work with it, realize the strengths of it (the majority of information and media focusses on the struggles) and learn to be generally “ok” with it. What I also didn’t understand was how I had gotten where I am in my line of work (I won’t use the word career as that seems to be something premeditated) and how to step up into what I was invited to.
This is where Leigh came in.
After hearing Leigh on a podcast and having what and how she described the challenges and work that she does with clients at TTN resonate with me I reached out. We had our first chat and set the tone of what we would work on. It was evident immediately that my concerns were common among “successful” ADHD folk and there were things that we could do to help me accept, harness and, yes, exploit my flavor of brain.
Rapport was immediate. In the course of the 6 sessions there were many laughs, lots of fun and lots of tangential entertaining stories. Leigh had empathy to my struggles (inflated, perceived or otherwise) and her demeanor of making space whilst quietly encouraging me to dig for the answers myself; remembering you’ve likely done “good stuff” but haven’t realized it applies to things in the now is empowering.
We are creative beasts. With encouragement and support it’s amazing how we look at problems and the fascinating ways solve them. Our methods and thought patterns may bewilder others - if you bring them on the journey they will be mind-blown!
Our early sessions dug into the barriers I experienced, how to define them, scope them and ultimately understand and expect them. Sometimes they can’t be eliminated or easily climbed over - when you find what works. Knowing something will likely happen makes it much less scary when it does! It’s sadistic that not knowing or expect them usually makes them happen… Hmmmm …
The sessions then progressed to specifics about the leadership quandary I found myself in: being asked to “be a leader” and not knowing what a “leader” is let alone a neuro-spicy one! We dug deep and Leigh coached me to look at past experiences of good leadership (from others or yourself) and how we can bring these to bear in the now.
By the time we got to the latter stages of the 6 sessions we were enacting a plan. To be bold. To remember the successes and lessons from the past (success amnesia is a thing) and start to believe that I can influence or outright change rather a lot. I leaned to advocate for myself and for others, to be an ally to other neurodivergents including those also finding themselves in leadership positions. To trust my experience, my gut and trusting that I have valuable, powerful ideas. Who would have thought this would be so fulfilling?!
Thank you Leigh for lending your expertise, guidance, encouragement and for casting my challenges in a realistic light. I see great things ahead and happily attribute my enjoyment of the journey to you.
Warmly,
S.”

“I would encourage anyone to work with Leigh. She is easy to communicate with and offers different views on how to approach difficult situations. Before we started working together I felt overwhelmed in a new position of a new department I had recently been transferred to without much supervision. I am now more adjusted to my new role and feel confident about the tasks that lie ahead. I am able to get to the cause of my frustrations and think about, and act on what I could do to change or solve things. I valued talking to Leigh because it meant I had someone to share my thoughts with and take a step back to figure out why I was feeling certain ways about different situations. “

“I began coaching with Leigh because I was starting a new chapter in my life and was subsequently hoping to transition from “just paying the bills”, to beginning my journey on a fulfilling industry specific career pathway. I had less than two years left of my Cyber Security undergraduate degree when I began coaching with Leigh, so it was the perfect time to start preparing to enter the industry. Before my coaching sessions, I was unsure of how to gain technical experience whilst studying, I struggled with time management, and I had daily stress over my income.
One of the biggest benefits to Leigh’s coaching style is their ability to help align my thoughts in a way that is productive, whilst allowing for critical self-reflection. When I felt overwhelmed with the number of possible pathways available to reach a goal, Leigh would ask a series of prompts that helped me to refine my options and make the right decision. For example, during one of my coaching sessions, I was deciding between creating a portfolio, studying for certificates, or volunteering. Leigh helped me to realize during that session that I couldn’t undertake all three, and by the next coaching session I had chosen to pursue gaining professional certificates. I have now paid for my Google Cyber Security certificate and booked my CompTIA Security+ exam. Leigh’s prompts put each option into perspective, and without this coaching I would likely be undertaking an overambitious workload and failing to gain any sense of achievement.
I find Leigh’s time highly valuable because I feel that I’m building a better future for myself. As a neurodivergent woman in a male dominated field, I used to feel that the odds were stacked against me. After my series of coaching sessions, I can wholeheartedly say that I feel more secure in my abilities, and confident that I will be successful by my own definition.
What would I say to someone who is considering working with Leigh?
This is a fantastic service for everyone. As a student, I previously did not consider coaching as thought it was only for people who are mid-career. This is a misconception and I now feel that I am ahead of the game.
Be yourself; Leigh is open-minded, patient, and inclusive.
Don’t worry if you’re having a bad week or feel like you’ve taken a step back. Progress is not linear, and coaching will help you to understand this is a productive manner.
Aim as high as you can.”

"Couldn't recommend Leigh enough if you're having a dilemma with your career. Her ability to make you challenge yourself and think in depth about what it is you really want is incredible, especially for someone like me who had been feeling particularly lost career wise.
Having never done coaching before I wasn't sure what I was going into, but Leigh is such a patient coach and you can tell she's always listening to what you're saying so she can ask the right questions to push you further. She's really made me reflect on my career before now and help build a foundation for where I want to go from here."

“In the past few months, I received coaching from Leigh for my career development. This year, I embarked on several new projects simultaneously. At the beginning, I encountered numerous challenges related to collaboration and efficiency. However, I had the opportunity to discuss with Leigh monthly about my work and the obstacles I was faced with. She provided guidance on establishing a routine to address new challenges in my work.
For example, we explored whether my past experiences could be leveraged to tackle current issues and identified any available resources to support me. Thanks to her assistance, my work efficiency has improved significantly, and I now feel much more confident in multitasking. I am delighted to recommend Leigh as a career coach!”

“During the session I found Leigh to very professional and a very good listener. She kept focused and maintained eye contact throughout.
Leigh asked several questions in such a way to enable me to express my frustrations and feelings and explore for myself some potential solutions to overcome some hurdles, which I hadn’t previously considered.
Her style is relaxed and composed, and she listened carefully to my thoughts in answering her questions.
Her questions and comments were well considered and deliberately avoided offering any solutions or opinions, yet, by asking probing questions that enabled me to think carefully about any solutions I could employ and what steps I deemed necessary to get me to where I needed (wanted) to be.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the coaching session and found the experience valuable. From the session I have taken some of my ideas for future action.
I would highly recommend Leigh as a coach and mentor to anyone who feels like they facing hurdles when trying to achieve a goal”

“I have had issues with anxiety and depression since I was a teen and the overwhelm I get as a result of this can have a real impact even when my mental health is in a good spot. I particularly struggle with decision-making and feeling trapped.
As well as using other therapy, such as CBT and talk therapy, I have had it suggested a few times to use coaching to help with more long-term things and issues that aren't specific to my mental health issues like exploring different career paths or finding ways to keep motivated when tackling certain tasks, so I have tried using other coaching services before to this end, but never found that the style worked for me so went into coaching with TTNC slightly skeptical but open-minded.
I have been blown away by how much it has helped me so far. The way that Leigh conducts the sessions has opened up a lot more avenues for me and helped me piece together things that I know in a way that is actually actionable. She has helped me to explore aspects of myself that I likely wouldn't have otherwise, and I always look forward to our sessions. Leigh is able to adapt the sessions to fit what I need in a way that feels really natural and that also taps into my brain in way that gets me to be really introspective and actually work out what those needs really are deep down and not just surface level.
To anyone on the fence about starting, I would really encourage you to take the leap. Working with Leigh has easily been one of the best decisions I have made this year and I'm keen to keep working with her for as long as I need.”
